3 DAY GARDEN ROUTE

CAPE TO CAPE

Day 1: -

We depart for the Garden Route via Sir Lowreys Pass on the N2 National Road via Caledon along the Wheat Belt of South Africa, Riviersonderend, Swellendam, Heidelberg, Riversdale to Mossel Bay, a quaint little fishing village on the coast of the Garden Route.

Lunch is en-route.

Here for the first time we can experience the smell of the Indian Ocean of Africa and its magic up close & personal.This is where Bartholomew Diaz landed back in 1488 and allegadly hid post in the later famous Post Office Tree; we visit the Cape St.Blaize lighthouse. Then @ 3 p.m. we set of to Botlierskop Game Farm where we have a exceptional opportunity to meet Lion, Buffalo, Rhino at close quarters o a spectacular 3 hour game drive on 4x4 open vechiles through some of the most breathtaking Fynbos cultures of the region.

After our game encounter we proceed via George through Wilderness and its beautiful lakes to Knysna, jewel of the Garden Route.

Relaxing & comfort is embodied in this very personal Hotel.

Day 2: -

After breakfast we explore Knysna, the Heads, craft markets and Waterfront. We take a drive through to Plettenberg Bay and its awesome beaches and the playground of the jetsetters, the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Nature's Valley. Here we visit Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary and the Birds of Eden, the largest free flight bird sanctuary in the southern Hemisphere.

We enjoy the Knysna Estuary with a pleasure cruise to the famous Heads on the old John Benn.

Beer lovers can order a local Mitchells Brew and Oyster lovers order fresh Knysna Oyster en champage .

We depart for the Little Karoo West back across the 800m Outeniqua Pass and 4 Passes to Oudtshoorn in the Ostrich Kingdom.

Overnight is in our stunning traditional Guesthouse at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountains.

Day 3: -

After breakfast we drive to the famous Cango Caves with its mystic splendors, we have an exciting visit to an Ostrich Show Farm where you have the once in a lifetime opportunity to see, touch, hug, kiss, sit on and ride an 150kg African Ostrich.

We stop over At the Cango Cheetah and Crocodile Ranch, where you will be able to see rare and endangred birds, reptiles and animals. Excluded you have the option to do a croc dive, touch a Cheetah, white tiger or cubs and frequent with a lemur family.

Then we sadly depart for Stellenbosch via the Route 62, but we stop for a laugh at the famous Ronnies Sex Shop, Barrydale, Montaqu, Aston Robertson, Worcester, and Paarl to Stellenbosch, arriving late afternoon back in Cape Town.
