Situated 8km’s east of Storms River Bridge
(Paul Sauer bridge) on the N2, Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure Park
offers spectacular Zipline adventure slides
across the Kruis River.
A zip-line (also known as a flying fox, foefie
slide, zip wire, canopy tour,
aerial runway, aerial rope slide, death slide or
Tyrolean crossing) consists of a
pulley suspended on a cable, usually made of
stainless steel, mounted on an incline.
It is designed to enable a user propelled by
gravity to travel from the top to the
bottom of the inclined cable by holding onto, or
attaching to, the freely moving pulley.
Zip-lines come in many forms, most often used as a
means of entertainment.
They may be short and low, intended for child's
play and found on some playgrounds.
Longer and higher rides are often used as a means
of accessing remote areas, such as a rain forest canopy.

The eight slides, of which the longest is
211m, zigzag along cables ancross the river gorge, as high as 50m above
the water in some places.
Each section presents its own surprises, adventure, wonders and beautiful views over indigenous Tsitsikamma fauna and flora.

Users can control the speed of their
descent, allowing them to stop mid
cable to take in some of the awesome views over the waterfalls.
The guides provide interesting commentary about the area as patrons traverse the gorge and waterfalls.
We operate in all weather conditions, 365
days a year. This is a dry activity and rain suites will be
provided when necessary. Children 7 years and older can partake in this action packed adventure thrill.

3. Skydive / Tandem - Plettenberg Bay

BRIEFING :: After signup you will meet your Tandem Instructor. There will be a short briefing, then you will be kitted up.
Your harness is
fully adjustable and has four attachment points.
That's it, you're
ready to go! Sit back, relax and take in the view on a 20 minute
flight to altitude, during which
you can enjoy spectacular views of the Plettenberg Bay coastline and Robberg peninsular.
In season whales and dolphins can often be seen!
THE JUMP ::
Before reaching altitude your Tandem Instructor will connect you to
his harness using the four attachment points.
Exit the plane together and feel the unique rush of freefall at 200kph for 35 seconds, before the parachute opens.
THE
FLIGHT :: View the beautiful surroundings
suspended under the parachute while your
instructor steers you safely back to earth, or steer yourself if you want to have a go!
We fly a Cessna
182 Skylane that has been carefully maintained and upgraded for
skydiving.
ZS FFB has a Continental Engine rated at 230 BHP. We have added
wingtip extensions which help
slightly with
lift induced drag and allows us to climb to altitude just a little
quicker.
We have removed the standard door of our aircraft and changed it for
an “in-flight door” this allows us to close
the door before
take-off and for twenty five minute flight to altitude. Just prior to
the skydive the door is opened,
it hinges upward
and the skydivers exit. The pilot then closes the door for the
descent and landing.
This makes for a safe and comfortable twenty five minute flight with
no wind buffeting and freezing your buns off with an open door.

Meeting
point is at the Ocean Blue Adventures office situated in the
Milkwood Centre, Hopwood street,
30 minutes prior to
the departure time.
Our Ecological
adventure leaves from Central Beach with an exciting beach
launch and heads east past the bird
sanctuary and
Keurbooms beach to Arch Rock.
* Here we usually encounter Bottlenose and the rare Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphins, as well as some shark species. * From Arch Rock we head into the middle of the Bay where pelagic seabirds are normally to be found some 7km from the shore. Out there
our resident Bryde’s whales may be seen, as well as Common
dolphins or Southern Right and
Humpback whales
during their season.
* We then traverse the Bay to the point of Robberg Peninsula and out to the Wild side, often seeing groups of whales and pods of dolphins.
* Cruising back along the inside of Robberg, we see the unique geology from this unusual viewpoint and can observe our growing Cape Fur
Seal Colony.
* Finally we head back along the Robberg beach, while a brief rundown on the history of the area is given. * After passing the Beacon Island Hotel, built on the site of an original Whaling Station, we end the experienced with an exhilarating
landing, again on Central Beach.
