5 Day 4 Night Big 5 Safari (Eastern cape)

Day 1

We depart 8am - Knysna via PE to Eastern Cape.

We include the Storms River; Bloukrans bridges; Tsitsikamma National Park;

hanging bridge

We travel via the N2 on to

the Big 5 Lodges Scotia Lion Safaris.

We enjoy lunch at Nanaga

After lunch we check into Schotia / Name derived from Boernoom/ Bean tree - Schotia

Afra /Latifolius

We check into the Lapa and enjoy a

cold drink or coffee before we board the 4X4 Landrovers.

Herds of antelope keep crossing our tracks and into the night by spotlight,

until we finally find the majestic Lions of the Eastern Cape. These lions are free

ranging and although we cannot guarantee a kill it we have witnessed it several times.

The lions also have just had cubs and we might get to see them as well.

We get ready to do our first night drive on open game vehicle

Afterwards we enjoy a supper under the star food prepared in pots on coles
under the African Sky
A memorable Potjiekos prepared on open fire is served

Sipping on a good red wine, a good BBQ and the sounds of the African Bush

just outside our perimeter is a setting that will burn an image into everyone heart forever.

Day 2

After breakfast it's off to Addo National Elephant Park. The park offers 325

Elephant, Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Ostrich, Eland, Kudu, Redhartebeest,

Warthog and a multitude of bird species. Here we will take you to within

meters of these gentle giants. Lunch can be had in the Park Restaurant.

At the moment there are about 20 babies as well.

With our experienced tracker/guide we soon round up the great herds of Elephant

and their newly born, only meters away from our vehicle. Ostrich, Eland,

Kudu, Redhartebeest and Warthog are plentiful. We enjoy a light lunch at

Addo Restcamp Restaurant and browse through the magnificent Curio Shop.

After lunch we do another game drive and enjoy supper at Addo.

After supper we take an open truck game drive to see what Ellies do in the night.

Day 3

We do an early game walk with the rangers on foot

After breakfast we explore schotia

Lunch is at Sandflats Hotel

We take a rest and prepare for our afternoon and last night drive

Day 4

After a excellent breakfast we leavethe splendid Sundays Valley and we return

via Tsitsikamma, Natures Valley & Plettenberg Bay with a good chance to spot a whale or two
back to Knysna.
