The Kruger National Park is an enormous nature reserve, stretching three hundred and fifty kilometres along the Mozambican border and being sixty kilometers wide on average.
On general most of the park exists out of plat grass and bush covered plains. Better known in South Africa as the savannah or bosveld. The border with Mozambique is clear because of the always-present Lebombo mountain range that forms a natural barrier.
There are a number of rivers flowing from east to west within the park. Being the Limpopo, Luvuvhu, Shingwedzi, Letaba, Olifants, Timbavati, Sabie and Crocodile River from north to south.
There are seven entrances to the Kruger National Park. Or gates as they are usually called. Malelane and Crocodile Bridge in the south. The best reachable from Johannesburg the Numbi Gate and Paul Kruger Gate. There are also Orpen, close to Blyde River, Phalaborwa, Punda Maria and Pafuri more north.

Itinerary for a 4 day tour
Day 1 -
Departure or Pickup JHB at 8h00 at your hotel and depart for the Kruger National Park via the N4. Travel via Witbank through Nelspruit entering Kruger at the Malalane Gate on the South.
Game viewing will start on entering the world-renowned game reserve. Your guide is experienced in spotting the wildlife, which have an uncanny ability of camouflaging themselves.
We continue a game drive till dusk. We settle into our camp.
We do a Night DRIVE on open jeep with spotlights.
Enjoy a traditional dinner in the restaurant.
Overnight: Kruger camp - Kruger Park - safari tents

Day 2-
We are up 6 am and after coffee, tea and rusks we do an early morning game drive.
The sights of the wildlife in their natural environment will thrill you. A bush Breakfast is enjoyed along the road at a shady picnic site. Your guide will continue to introduce you to many interesting aspects of the environment. The ecosystem will come alive to you, as you understand how the animals, trees, plants and insect life all interact.
Tonight we do another night drive on open vehicle.
Overnight: Kruger camp - Kruger Park - Safari tents
Meals: Breakfast and supper Incl.
Day 3-
We are up at 6 and we set of on a early morning game drive followed breakfast back at the camp at 7 am.
After our return we continue our game drive to the west and your chance to spot any wildlife which may have eluded you until now.
When refreshed and rested depart for an afternoon game drive, returning before the gates close.

Day 4 -
We are up early for breakfast and we depart 7 am via the Orpen Gate via the scenic Panorama Route of the Mpumalanga escarpment.
We see the Blyderiviers canyon; Bourks luck potholes; Pilgrims Rest and the Long Tom Pass
Back to the Airport in Gauteng in time for your flight @ TBA.

The ecosystem will come alive to you, as you understand how the animals, trees, plants and insect life all interact. From Crocodile Bridge we move North to Lower Sabie and on to Skukuza and back to Pretoriuskop.
Tonight we do another night drive on open vehicle.

Day 3-
We are up at 6:00 and we set of on a early morning game drive followed by breakfast back at the camp at 7 am.
