4 DAY GARDEN ROUTE

CAPE TO CAPE - Route 62

Day 1: -

We depart for the Garden Route via Franshoek and the awesome Franshoek Pass built by the Master builder Thomas Bain. We pass the beautiful Theewaterkloof dam and connect the R62 VIA Worcester, Robertson through wine country to Aston, Montagu to Oudtshoorn in the enchanting Little Karoo.

Lunch is in the Karoo in Barrydale.

 

We proceed to Ronnies Sex Shop and the mystery that made him famous.

We check in at De Poort GuestHouse in the Swartberge. Here for the first time we can experience the smell of Africa and its magic up close & personal. Relaxing & comfort is embodied in this very personal guesthouse.

Supper is served in the dinning room overlooking the valley.

Day 2: -

After breakfast we explore the Ostrich Kingdom. We visit the famous Cango Caves with its mystic splendours, an Ostrich Show Farm where we enjoy a fabulous lunch with ostrich Steak & red wine. We drive South back across the 800m Outeniqua Pass and 4 Passes to George through Wilderness and its beautiful lakes to Knysna, jewel of the Garden Route. We check into our guesthouse and explore Knysna, the Heads, African craft markets and Waterfront.

At sundown we set of for a cruise on Knysna Lagoon.

Supper: JJ;s famous waterfront Restaurant with live Xhosa tribal singers -Excl.

Day 3: -

We take a drive through to Plettenberg Bay and its awesome beaches and the playground of the jetsetters, the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Nature's Valley. Here we visit Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary. On to the Tsitsikamma National Park.

Supper: Knysna Oyster Farm Excl.

Day 4: -

After breakfast we proceed to Mossel Bay, where Bartholomew Diaz landed back in 1488 & the Post Office Tree, we visit the Cape St.Blaize lighthouse.

 

Then we set of to Botlierskop Game Farm at 9am where we have a exceptional opportunity to meet Lion, Buffalo, Rhino at close quarters o a spectacular 3 hour game drive on 4x4 open vechiles through some of the most breathtaking Fynbos cultures of the region.

We sadly depart for Cape Town via the N2 through Swellendam, Caledon, and early evening back in Cape Town.
